Riley is also very passionate about sexuality and sexual-related concerns. Riley started her professional internships and career working in substance abuse counseling, conducting both individual therapy and various group therapies including relapse prevention, medical assisted therapy and substance abuse education group therapy.
Riley is a firm believer in there is a “no one size fits all approach” and thus practices an integrative approach that is tailored to the individual’s needs. She attempts to use a theoretical approach that fits with both the client’s personality and presenting issues in counseling. Riley likes to use client-centered approaches, specifically focusing on strengths, in hopes to create a safe and comfortable space where growth can flourish.
