I believe that our strength lies in recognizing our power as individuals to choose, and create, a better life.
Because our feelings are very much connected to beliefs about personal value and self-worth, a diminished sense of self often underlies sadness, hopelessness, frustration, anger, excessive worry, and a sense of being disconnected. Restoring the self to wholeness is the most enduring way to release these persistent negative feelings while finding meaning and taking pleasure in daily living.
My role is to guide and encourage the client to heal and grow through increased self-awareness and insight in ways that are holistic, person-centered, strength-based, and trauma-informed/focused, and within the context of culture and identities.
