Nylsa Aquino

MS, LMHC

As individuals, our strength lies in recognizing our power to choose and create a better life for ourselves. Our feelings are often connected to our beliefs about our value and worth, which can lead to feelings of sadness, hopelessness, frustration, anger, excessive worry, and disconnection.

To release these persistent negative feelings and find meaning and pleasure in daily living, it’s important to restore a sense of wholeness and self-worth.

As a licensed mental health counselor with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I specialize in working with adults, individuals, and the LGBTQ+ community.

I believe that our sense of self is the foundation of our emotional well-being, and my goal is to guide and encourage clients to heal and grow through increased self-awareness and insight, using a holistic, person-centered, strength-based, and trauma-informed/focused approach that considers the client’s culture and identities.

As a trauma-informed/focused therapist, I have experience working with individuals struggling with PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, addiction disorders, and other mental health challenges.

My mission is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can grow and heal. As a bilingual counselor fluent in both English and Spanish, I provide therapy that is accessible and culturally sensitive. I am committed to guiding my clients toward a happier and more fulfilling life.

Let’s work together to find your strength, restore your sense of self, and create a better life.
