My main focus is working with clients and/or family who are struggling with Borderline Personality Disorder. I utilize DBT, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Brainspotting techniques, among other approaches, to help the client find a way to regulate their symptoms and utilize new ways of approaching issues. I believe in education about what is going on in the mind and body so the client can leave our sessions with information and skills that can be utilized on a daily basis in order to achieve real change.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the State of Florida and have a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling.
I have Long COVID/Vaccine Injury so am able to work with that population with empathy, as well as those struggling with conversion disorder/somatoform presentations/chronic pain or illness. I am also very familiar with how to deal with and treat anxiety, depression, and trauma.
I have many experiences in my life with mental health issues including family members with mental health diagnoses, adopting foster children with diagnoses and behaviors, and my own history of depression and anxiety.
My counseling approach combines real-life experience with compassion, knowledge, and the desire to make a difference for my clients.
