Erica LaPooh

MSW, LCSW

My passion for engaging in the therapeutic process with you comes from a strong and personal connection to empowering individuals on their journey to heal from trauma and reclaim their lives. My experience focuses on working with those who have endured various kinds of trauma throughout their lifetime. After facing a traumatic experience, feeling safe, trusting others, and managing the emotional aftermath may seem impossible and overwhelming, but you do not have to do it alone!

My approach is rooted in holistic healing, understanding that trauma affects the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I enjoy integrating mindfulness, somatic experiencing, and art, among other techniques to promote healing and self-discovery. My goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their experiences, build resilience, and cultivate lasting healing.

Specializing in trauma-focused therapy, I utilize evidence-based modalities such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and Internal Family Systems to facilitate healing at the deepest levels. Empathy, respect, and collaboration are always at the forefront of my approach, recognizing each client’s unique journey and strengths.

Life is full of unexpected challenges, some more manageable than others. Finding the bravery to ask for support is the first step! If you’re ready to embark on a path of healing and transformation, I am grateful to join you with support and empowerment!
