Mara R. Bernard

L.C.S.W.

It’s More Than Healing…It’s Transformation. While we cannot change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to understand the impact they have on
your life and learn how to move forward. As a caterpillar transforms to a butterfly, psychotherapy can also be a transformative process in your life. Beginning the task of choosing a therapist may feel daunting, but please know that I am committed to establishing an open and collaborative therapeutic relationship with you. I offer a safe, non-judgmental, supportive environment for your growth and change.I understand that everyone is unique which is why I take the time to help you identify
the path to recovery that is right for you.
I have been providing psychotherapy services for more than two decades to diverse population. I graduated from Syracuse University with a Master’s Degree in Social
Work. I am licensed in New York and Florida. Over the last twenty years I have taken additional training in DBT (dialectic behavioral therapy), trauma, abuse,
addictions, depression, bipolar and anxiety disorders. I named just a few of my extensive additional training over the years. In addition to individual therapy, I also work with couple’s and families. I am looking forward to meeting you and begin your journey of healing.
