As a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, I believe in the power of partnership working collaboratively with individuals to define their treatment goals and take an active role in their healing journey. By fostering a strong therapeutic alliance rooted in empathy, communication, and respect, my practice is centered on delivering holistic, patient-focused care.
I specialize in delivering comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care for adults aged 18 and older. This includes psychiatric evaluations, consultations, psychotropic medication management, and psychoeducation. With over two decades of experience across a range of specialties including hospice, long term care, cardiac PCU, inpatient psychiatry, and addiction medicine, I bring a depth of knowledge and a calm presence to those navigating crisis and recovery. My greatest strength lies in supporting individuals during their most vulnerable moments, ensuring that care is compassionate and emotionally attuned to their unique needs.
Complementing medication management, I incorporate psychotherapeutic modalities into my work, with a particular emphasis on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This mindfulness-based approach helps individuals accept difficult emotions while committing to actions aligned with their personal values promoting psychological flexibility and a more meaningful life.
I am dedicated to empowering patients as they move toward wellness, resilience, and becoming the best version of themselves. It is my privilege to be a partner on that journey.
