Hello, my name is Elizabeth Hilgreen. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have been working as a counselor for over 10 years. I graduated with my MS in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University and was first licensed in the State of New York. I relocated to Florida in 2016 and I am so happy to get to serve the Lee County community.
I work with clients of all ages including children, adolescents, and adults. I have experience working in various levels of mental health services with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, loss/grief, relationship issues, gender, sexuality, trauma, serious persistent mental illness, and others. I have completed various clinical training including EMDR basic training levels 1 and 2 and I am a Certified Adoption Specialist through the Florida Department of Children and Families.
I strive to create a compassionate, comfortable and safe space for all of my clients. I adjust my style in order to address each client’s individual needs. I have a passion for helping to guide people in their journey, to enable them to set/achieve goals and foster positive change in their lives. I use clinical interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Existentialism, Play/Art Therapy Techniques, and EMDR.
