Veronica G. Mejia

M.A., Registered Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern-Licensure Candidate

When you are feeling stuck in old patterns, weighed down by anxiety or depression, or struggling to connect, finding a path back to yourself can feel overwhelming. You deserve a supportive space where you can feel truly understood as you heal and rebuild your confidence.

I’m Veronica G. Mejia, M.A., RMHCI, and I support individuals and couples who are ready to process past struggles, strengthen their relationships, and create a life that feels authentic and peaceful. My work is rooted in empathy, focusing on how early attachment and family history shape who we are today.

In our sessions, I weave together psychodynamic theory, somatic experiencing, and evidence-based trauma processing to help you move past emotional roadblocks. Whether I am working with individuals or helping couples resolve conflict and rebuild trust, my goal is to guide you toward lasting resilience and self-love. I am also fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing me to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care to a diverse community.

My professional foundation includes a Master’s degree in Counseling from Northwestern University (CACREP accredited), alongside clinical experience at the David Lawrence Center, Waves Holistic Counseling, and Counseling for Community Wellness. Prior to entering the counseling field, I served as a Program Manager for Academic Affairs & Student Experience at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, an experience that deepened my dedication to guiding people through meaningful personal growth.
