Hi! My name is Kourtney Arrowsmith, and I’m a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern currently pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University. I am passionate about helping people feel supported, understood, and empowered as they navigate life challenges, transitions, and personal growth. Through my experience working with individuals facing trauma, crisis, and emotional distress, I have developed a deep appreciation for the importance of compassion, connection, and creating a space where people feel safe enough to show up as they are.
My counseling approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, emotional awareness, and cultural sensitivity. I strive to create a warm and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable exploring the experiences that have shaped them. I believe in meeting clients where they are and recognizing that no two people experience life, healing, or growth in the same way. My goal is to support each person in a way that feels collaborative, meaningful, and tailored to their unique needs and goals.
