Hello! My name is Tia. I am a counselor specializing in areas of substance abuse, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, stress management, and adjustment. I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I also have a certificate in Chemical Dependency Counseling and am a Master’s level Certified Addictions Professional. I have worked with adults and adolescents in both residential and outpatient treatment settings since 2013. I have training and experience in working with clients in both individual and group settings, and also have training in telehealth counseling. I strive to stay up to date on the latest evidence-based therapy models and techniques available and pride myself in giving the best care possible to my clients.

My therapeutic approach is client-centered, strength-based and solution-focused. I use a combination of techniques based on Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Choice Theory, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy. I work closely with a team of experienced professionals in order to provide the best support available. I truly believe we all have the capacity to learn, grow, and fulfill our greatest potentials! Sometimes in life, we run into bumps along the way and just need help to refocus and learn new coping skills to get back on track. With that being said, I recognize the difficulty in making the decision to seek counseling and will assist in making that transition as comfortable as possible for you and your family. I would be honored to help you reach your goals and overcome any obstacles you are facing.
