She/Her/Hers

Hello everyone! My name is Melissa Belyea and I am proud to be a serving the Naples area as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. If your reading this you may have decided to start a journey of self discovery or healing and I commend you for that. I encourage clients to live a life of authenticity and find what makes their journey meaningful. I utilize a strength-based, solution -focused, approach that incorporates mindfulness and visualization techniques. I hold multiple certifications and have experience working with anxiety, depression, grief, self esteem, trauma, and suicidality. I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, couples and families. I am also trained in Eye Movement Integration (EMI™) which is a Neurotherapy technique used to address unpleasant or traumatic memories. Eye Movement Integration™ uses guided eye movements to assist you in accessing information about past memories and allows the brain to access many more resources to resolve the traumatic experience.

One of my proudest accomplishments was being part of the 2018 National Board of Certified Counselors Minority Fellowship Program. The program focused on increasing access to counseling, supporting underserved communities and addressing intergenerational trauma. Creating a sense of community is important to me and I strive to provide quality care to clients looking for a new perspective. I hope that wherever you journey takes you, you find the quality care you deserve.
