Adolescents | Adults | Individual
Hi! First, I wanted to say thank you for stopping by! I am truly honored that you are entrusting Therapy Treatment Team to be such an intimate part of your life.
My name is Ana and I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). Additionally, I have a Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, both from FGCU as well. Go Eagles!
Most of my clinical training has been focused in working with adolescents and adults who are post-incarceration, pre-trial, or currently incarcerated. However, I have worked with individuals experiencing a wide range of concerns including: anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, trauma, and concerns related to substance use.
I am a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider and I have worked with both juveniles and adults in dealing with deviant sexual concerns. Additionally, I have received education in working with couples through the Gottman Level I Training and the PREPARE/ENRICH certification course, as well as training in working with children through play therapy.
Ultimately, you are the expert on your life and counseling is not a “one size fits all” profession, which is why I use an eclectic approach in my practice. The basis of my approach is person-centered because supportive, non-judgmental relationships will account for the majority of your progress in counseling. From there, I use a combination of approaches from psychological theories, narrative therapy, Jungian therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, choice theory, systems theory, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. By doing this, you can be intricately involved in your treatment planning and we can tailor your treatment to your needs.
I believe in healing, hope, and second chances. My goal is for you and I to work together to better understand the connections among your mind, brain, and body in order to help you overcome strongholds, find meaning, and live free.
Thanks again for stopping by. I look forward to walking with you in this season of your life!
